A stick and stich embroidery pattern stick and stich is a sticker and water-soluble template used in embroidery as a visual guide. Embroidery pattern: What is a stick and stich?
The Stick and Stitch is a water-soluble, self-adhesive embroidery template that greatly simplifies creating designs. It sticks directly to the fabric, serves as a visual guide while embroidering, then simply dissolves in water once the work is finished. This type of pattern allows you to reproduce precise drawings without having to mark the fabric. Ideal for personalizing clothing, bags, or accessories, the stick and stitch makes embroidery accessible to everyone while ensuring a clean, professional result.
How to use the stick and stich embroidery pattern?
-
Choose the self-adhesive soluble paper design to use.
-
Peel the embroidery sticker paper from its backing.
-
Stick the embroidery design in the desired location.
-
Place the hoop if needed: stiffer fabrics can be worked without a hoop since it can be difficult to fit a hoop in some areas if there are many folds or seams.
-
Embroider with the colors and threads of your choice: The needle may become slightly sticky. Simply clean the needle with a little rubbing alcohol to remove the adhesive.
-
When the embroidery is finished, soak and gently rub the fabric in a small bath of warm water (not boiling) until all the paper has dissolved, then let air dry.
For washing the finished piece, wash on the delicate cycle in cold water only and air dry. The dryer can shrink the garment around the embroidery and damage it.
