Here, our makeup pads are shaped like a disposable makeup pad. That is to say 2.5" in diameter. They are made of hemp and organic cotton. That means they are very durable because hemp is known for its durability.
Each makeup pad is made one by one. And on top of that, it's made with love in our own sewing workshop in Quebec.
Tip and trick
To use it to its full potential, the ultimate trick is to wet it and wring it out before applying our cleansing product on it. This allows you to use less cleansing product!Besides being economical, it's ecological!
The Marie fil makeup pad has one soft side and one rougher side. That's what lets you use it for everything.
And you know what? Most of them come from our leftover fabrics since we use the same fabric for ourmenstrual underwearandwashable pads.
And washing the makeup pads?
Nothing could be simpler! Put everything in the washing machine with the other things you already wash. Then put them in the dryer. Ideally, if you have alaundry bag, I recommend putting them in it so the sock gnomes don't find them.
If you want the natural white colored pads to stay that way longer, it's better to rinse them before putting them in the washing machine. Otherwise, I like to use a little stain soap like the one frommadame blancheville.
When possible, it's best to avoid using fabric softener or bleach. These tend to reduce the performance of the fabrics in addition to not being ecological.
Sodium percarbonate
Thisproductis your laundry essential. It helps restore effectiveness to your hygiene products. Let your pads soak in hot water and the sodium percarbonate for a few hours. Then, off to the washer and dryer. Your makeup pads will become like new.
