The best washable makeup pad
Here, our makeup pads are shaped like a disposable makeup pad — that is, 2.5" in diameter. They are made of hemp and organic cotton. That means they are very durable because hemp is known for its durability.
Each makeup pad is made one by one. And on top of that, it’s made with love in our own sewing studio in Quebec.
Tip and trick
To get full use out of it, the ultimate trick is to wet it and wring it out before putting your makeup remover on it. That lets you use less product!Besides being economical, it’s ecological!
The Marie fil makeup pad has one soft side and one slightly rougher side. That lets you use it for many purposes.
It’s simple! Put everything in the washing machine with the other items you already wash. Then put them in the dryer. Ideally, if you have alaundry bag, I recommend putting them in it so the sock gnomes don’t find them.
If you want the natural white pads to stay whiter longer, it’s best to rinse them before putting them in the washing machine. Otherwise, I like to use a small stain soap like the one frommadame blancheville.
When possible, it’s best to avoid using fabric softener or bleach. These tend to reduce the performance of the fabrics and are not eco-friendly.
Percarbonate
Thisproductis your laundry essential. It restores the effectiveness of your hygiene products. Let your pads soak in hot water with the percarbonate for a few hours. Then, off to the washer and dryer. Your makeup pads will look like new again.
