Blue Polka Dot Menstrual Briefs
La culotte menstruelle Marie looks like a regular pair of women's underwear, except it is perfectly designed for periods. Indeed, this feminine menstrual protection allows women to lead an active life every week of the month... And all while being an eco-responsible alternative!
Menstrual underwear made in Quebec
Discrete lining in natural fibers
An absorbent lining is already present in the period underwear to create a natural barrier for the panties. Although insufficient without a menstrual insert, it helps prevent surprises. The lining acts as a soft, built-in panty protector inside the period underwear. It is longer at the front and back than standard sewing templates to ensure perfect protection.
The lining is offered in two colors. Natural (color natural unbleached): for sensitive skin or skin prone to infections that allows you to see menstrual flow. Black: For easier maintenance since persistent stains are not visible.
Breathable, waterproof barrier inside the period underwear
A breathable, waterproof barrier sewn inside the underwear is made of a thin layer of 100% PUL. This makes the menstrual underwear invincible against any blood leaks that might try to pass through.
Light or heavy flow for a menstrual panty?
The menstrual underwear adapts well to all flow levels. For added comfort, women with a heavy flow may prefer wearing a Diva Cup cup or of a menstrual cup. For light to medium flow, the period underwear with 3 inserts is sufficient for daytime. The insert also allows you to change only the inner layer without having to change the underwear during the day.
Removable menstrual cup
It is possible to add a removable insert to the underwear to easily adapt to the menstrual cycle:
-
Un insert by day or by night Marie thread (optional) :
- Assures a double absorbent and waterproof protection thanks to its composition identical to the gusset of the menstrual underwear.
- Fastens with snap buttons (ultra-thin, you won't feel them, promise!), to stay securely in place no matter the activity.
- Interchangeable as many times as you want throughout your menstrual flow.
Wearing the Marie fil period underwear means choosing comfort and feeling good in your skin, whether you have your period or not. And together, now more than ever, we’re helping make an important eco-responsible gesture for the environment. 💚

Why choose hemp?*
Hemp is the future for the environment. Its processing requires
very little water and no chemicals. It's why Marie prefers hemp to bamboo. This fabric also has several properties:
• Antibacterial to reduce odors
• Hypoallergenic to eliminate irritation
• Maximum absorption
• Soft when blended with cotton
Choose the right size for washable menstrual panties:
Buying period panties online can be complicated. Every woman deserves a proper fit and to be comfortable during her period. Here are some tips regarding the Marie fil size chart.
Marie menstrual underwear size chart
Order the right size of menstrual underwear by measuring your hips, above the buttocks, using a tape measure held parallel to the floor. If you’re between sizes, choose the larger one. Periods often come with a bloated or sore belly.
