For the occasion, our team wishes to get involved with a local organization: Mères et monde. Together, we have the power to change the lives of women from all over the world.
The history of World Menstrual Hygiene Day
Established since 2014, World Menstrual Hygiene Day aims to raise awareness of the human right to manage menstruation in a hygienic way. There are still many taboos related to menstruation, even more so in less developed countries. Even today, millions of women and adolescent girls do not dare to talk about menstruation or are misinformed about it. Sanitary facilities in some countries do not allow menstruation to be lived hygienically and adequately. Access to hygienic products (tampons, sanitary napkins, menstrual cups, etc.) is low or even non-existent. Women deserve better for their health!
Menstruation, a taboo subject!
Several regions of the world still do not have access to drinking water or sanitary facilities or even adequate protection, which is essential to the health and dignity of anyone with a menstrual cycle.
